At Olney Charter High School, we are committed to establishing, preserving, and empowering our students with a caring and high-quality education. We are dedicated to providing a setting where teaching and learning are rigorous.  We look to inspire our students to become global thinkers and conscious leaders as they actively persevere towards excellence.

State Representative Jason Dawkins invited the OCHS JAG-PA program to visit the PA State House of Representatives

State Representative Jason Dawkins invited the OCHS JAG-PA program to visit the PA State House of Representatives to be recognized on the floor of the House for being a school to career program in the state of Pennsylvania. Before and after the recognition other State Representatives came over and spoke with our students. State Representative James Roebuck Jr. from West Philadelphia shared that his wife was a graduate of Olney High School and loves going to her high school reunions. After the recognition, students took an amazing tour of the House of Representative and Senate chambers. The trip was totally awesome!! JAG-PA and the students were invited back to the PA House in May to be recognized for completing the program and graduating from Olney Charter High School.

Red Shirt Day To Be Observed on Friday, November 22, 2019

This is an important piece of this effort and is geared to raise awareness in encouraging schools, communities, and individuals to plan for and support assistance programs for youth experiencing homelessness as they look to complete their education. To show solidarity with children experiencing homelessness and their educators, workers are encouraged to wear red for “Red Shirt Day” on Friday, November 22nd
